What are microgreens?
Microgreens are vegetables or herbs that are harvested when they are very young, usually after just 1-3 weeks.
At this age they are more densely nutritious, more flavourful and more beautiful than fully grown veggies.
Microgreens have been used in high-end restaurants for many years as garnishes, but are now growing in popularity for home use.
How do the Grow Your Own Microgreens kits work?
Everything you need including step-by-step instructions is included in the box. Just follow the instructions and you'll have a fresh batch of tasty veg ready to harvest very soon!
After germinating your microgreens will need some light to grow; any regular table lamp is perfect or a windowsill that gets at least a few hours of light per day.
You will need to water your microgreens regularly. We recommend checking them morning and night to see how moist the grow medium is, and water as needed to keep it moist but not saturated. Usually that's around once a day after germination, but the amount of water needed will depend on several factors including stage of growth and your room's temperature and humidity.
All our kits and refills include coir discs (made from coconut husk, and used in place of compost), seeds, and instructions specific to that seed variety.

What can I use my microgreens for?
Great question! Microgreens can be added to almost any meal to add flavour, colour, texture and of course nutrients.
Toss a handful into a salad, pop a pinch into a sandwich, sprinkle on top of soups, stir fries and other hot meals as a garnish, add to a burger, or even blend them into your smoothie.

Where will you deliver?
Our kits can be delivered to any UK address. We do not currently offer international delivery due to the environmental impact of transporting the products overseas.
How much does delivery cost?
There is a £2.75 delivery fee for orders £25 & under.
Delivery is free for orders over £25.
When will my order arrive?
Your order will usually be delivered within 5 working days of placing the order. If you have not received your order after 6 working days please email hi@littleleaf.uk with your order number and we will investigate.
Please note that orders over £100 in value might take a bit longer to prepare - if you need a more accurate delivery estimate please email hi@littleleaf.uk.
